Program Description

Access to prenatal care and education for all women and families. Services include: assistance in choosing a prenatal provider,follow-up services to ensure you are able to keep your health care appointments,referrals to WIC, Healthy Start and other resources and programs when needed,help choosing a pediatrician prior to delivery and assistance applying for newborn insurance,information on family planning, and educational materials.

Programs offered: The MomCare program helps to ensure that your needs during your pregnancy are fulfilled and that your baby gets the best possible start in life. In Florida, most pregnant women with a family income below 185% of the Federal Poverty Line are eligible for Pregnancy Medicaid. MomCare helps these women find a physician/midwife and begin prenatal care. Once a prenatal care provider is selected, MomCare continues to follow up to ensure that prenatal appointments are kept and helps the mother-to-be with accessing all of the local assistance programs that she may need to help ensure a healthy pregnancy. On the day of your appointment, please bring: Photo ID Proof of 4 weeks gross wages Proof of Pregnancy Birth Certificate
