Eligibility Requirements and Important Information Your child must be four years of age but not five years of age or older on September 1st of the school year in which they will attend VPK. Bring your child's original birth certificate, your (legal guardian's) ID, as well as your proof of Florida residence. (A PO Box is not an acceptable proof of residence.) VPK is offered through approved private licensed child care centers, licensed family child care homes, faith-based providers, public and private schools. The program gives families two choices to participate: a 540 instructional hour school year program or a 300 hour summer programs. |
