Program Description

The Academic Support Center is designed for adult students as a place to come for studying and receiving academic assistance. ◦ Students are expected to be academically involved the entire time they are in the ASC. ◦ It is recommended that students limit each visit to no more than two hours. ◦ Students do not receive one-on-one instruction. Tutors oversee many students at a time.

After-School Program HOMEWORK ASSISTANCE: The Academic Support Center provides homework assistance for students who are enrolled in high school level courses in subjects the Academic Support Center supports (math, science, reading, and English). Tutors will not serve as the primary instructor for students' coursework. Tutors will clarify concepts already covered in the students' coursework and provide additional strategies for improving students' knowledge and skills.
