Program Description

Safe Families for Children - Treasure Coast surrounds families in crisis with caring, compassionate community. We are a nonprofit, volunteer movement that provides hope and support to families in our local community. Serving the Serving Indian River, St Lucie and Martin Counties, we create extended family-like supports for struggling, isolated families through a community of devoted volunteers who are motivated by faith to keep children safe and keep families together.

Eligibility Requirements and Important Information

Eligibility for families seeking assistance is generally determined by their need for support due to circumstances like homelessness, unemployment, domestic violence, or medical emergencies, where they lack a strong support system. Host families, on the other hand, need to be at least 25 years old, emotionally and financially stable, and willing to engage with the family in need
