Program Description

Free smoke detectors. Upon request, staff will inspect installed smoke detectors as well as answer questions related to fire safety. Based on staff availability, free blood pressure screenings are available at any Martin County fire station.

Any resident of Martin County who is in need of a smoke detector, but cannot afford one. Any resident who is unable to install a smoke detector.

Other Useful Information

Installation will be done to improve the life and safety of the occupant(s). Delivery will be done by appointment or if after a call a detector is deemed necessary, one will be installed. Installation will be done free of charge by trained Martin County Fire-Rescue personnel. Occupants will be trained in proper testing and care of the detector.
